Light Source Communications (LSC) is committed to revolutionizing the digital landscape through cutting-edge dark fiber solutions in a highly competitive global marketplace as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and other emerging technologies are set to transform industries. Our new website is part of an overall rebranding initiative that reflects our ongoing efforts to address the evolving needs of enterprises of all sizes.
The rebranding includes a sleek, modern new logo, and our updated interactive website highlights LSC’s customizable solutions and routes in strategic U.S. markets. For over a decade, we have built a reputation as a reliable, carrier neutral, customer agnostic provider of enhanced dark fiber networks. Now, we are growing internally and externally, and have refocused our priorities on being the solution for our partners.
Founded in 2014 by industry veterans Pete Empie and Debra Freitas, LSC built, owns and operates key dark fiber routes in Iowa/Nebraska and Oklahoma, and is building upon that momentum with new projects. The demand for robust dark fiber solutions is accelerating as growing reliance on digital services, cloud computing and data-intensive applications drive higher connectivity requirements. Current projects underway include new routes in the Phoenix, Arizona, metro area, as well as the expansion of our network in the Tulsa, Oklahoma, metro area.
“Over the years, we have created strong relationships with several hyperscale customers, enabling us to develop routes with their connectivity requirements in mind as we expand our national network,” said Freitas, Chief Executive Officer of LSC. “At the same time, we are able to support small- to medium-sized businesses to meet their needs, expanding access to the highest quality fiber networks available to organizations of any size.”
To continue to build upon its previous success, LSC has expanded its leadership team with the addition of Joe Patton, Chief Revenue Officer, and Dan Enright, Chief Operating Officer. Patton brings more than 34 years of telecommunications experience, including leadership positions at Southern Telecom, A Southern Company affiliate, Uniti Fiber, and Global Capacity. Enright has more than 37 years of experience that include leadership roles with GW Communications, Ledcor Technical Services (LTS) and Zayo Group.
“Coming out of the past decade, particularly with the pandemic and resulting market, we’ve found ourselves more resilient, more agile and more creative with our strategy. As a result, we are ready to disrupt the industry and expand globally beyond our borders,” said Empie, Chief Strategy Officer and President of LSC. “We will continue to grow internally and to develop strong relationships with clients and vendors as we move into the world of AI with boundless enthusiasm.”
This is an exciting time for us, and we look forward to building more relationships with enterprises big and small. Contact us today to learn more.
