Pete Empie, Chief Strategy Officer and President, has provided strategic insights since co-founding LSC in 2014. In his role, Pete has fostered strong customer and vendor relationships to help guide LSC’s successful expansion.
Pete’s focus is on the strategic growth of Light Source, concentrating on new emerging markets and technology implementations in the dark fiber vertical. His understanding of the telecommunications industry informs LSC’s strategic direction.
With over 40 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Pete previously served as CEO for several owner-operator fiber networks, including Waypoint Fiber Networks. At Waypoint Pete built, owned and operated metro networks from Michigan to Texas and Arizona, including the first dark fiber network around the city of Lansing, Mich. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army Signal Corps. In his free time, Pete enjoys fishing and golf, but his greatest joy is spending time with his wonderful family.
